Our friends at Prime Creative have successfully won the bid to host the World Barista Championship 2020 (WBC), at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo in 2020. Over 85 licensed barista champions worldwide will be competing in Melbourne from 4th May to the 7th May. Matthew Lewin from One Coffee won the Vitasay Australian Barista Championship this year & will most likely be competing in next years compeitions. This competition will occur in conjunction with Prime Creatives, highly succesful Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE 2020) at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. The last time both of these events were held in conjunction with each other in Melbourne was 2013.
The World Barista Championship (WBC) is known globally as THE international coffee competition, drawing competitors to compete, and a host of exhibitors showcasing all things coffee; including equipment and special guest. This is exciting news for all of us at Service Sphere, and anyone involved in the Global Coffee industry. On this rare opportunity, this event will give all of us the opportunity to showcase some of the great work & talent we have to offer.
